The Asian Drama Philosopher (A-Philosopher)’s Chair examines art, literature, nature and philosophy through the lens of Asian dramas. In so doing, it seeks to bridge the chasm between liberal arts and popular culture.

Another note of thanks, this time to Terry Sissons, for a response to a New Year’s Day message:
“… Dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth—that is at least a platitude containing wishes we can make true ourselves.
Happy 2015 and, in earnest hope for all of us, cheers to a bright new year free from the self-imposed shackles of the past!”
theotheri
A wonderful best wish. Thank you. The same to you.
Thanks for liking my posts or else, I wouldn’t be able to find this wonderful blog! It’s right up my alley of things I would actually look at in my leisure time. ^^ Please continue with more great posts in the future!! ^^
Aww … thanks for your compliments! Your blog is an enjoyable read too.
What an unusual, but thought provoking idea for a blog.
Thanks for visiting! 🙂
Thank you for stopping by my neck of the woods! I hope to learn more of Asian dramas as you present them here!! Interesting stuff!
I appreciated my walk in the woods. They are a great sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As Henry David Thoreau remarked, “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary.”
Thank you for posting here so that I will remember to visit your site again for my virtual dose of nature!
I agree and that is why I love this quote I use : “There are souls, in these noise-tired times, that turn aside into unfrequented lanes, where the deep woods have harbored the fragrances of many a blossoming season. Here the light, filtering through perfect forms, arranges itself in lovely patterns for those who perceive beauty.”….Roy J. Cook
It is from the preface of my favourite poetry collection “101 Famous Poems” edited by Roy J. Cook. While the quote is spoken of the need for poetry, I believe it also addresses our need to retreat into nature for renewal.
Look forward to your future visits!!
Yet another note of thanks to theotheri
, First Night Design
and Cindy Knoke
for their “like”s in response to the Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year greetings.
Hi chingu! I’ve nominated you for the sisterhood of the award ^^ https://crushonleedahae.wordpress.com/2015/03/02/the-sisterhood-of-the-world-blogger-award/
Haha…hopefully you’re not tired of a second award nomination. Anyways, I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. =D
https://capriquariusmei.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/liebster-award-nomination/
Awwww … thank you so much! ❤ And congratulations on your own nomination!!
Due to some ongoing real-life events though, this is not quite an appropriate time to write celebratory posts, so I'll have to delay my full-length response. Hope you'll understand ㅠ ㅠ.
No problem, just wanted to show the world some more awesome blogs out there anyways.
Aw…I hope that everything will go well for you!
Thanks for your concern! It’s actually not a deeply personal matter or even family matter. Just something going on around everyone.
ah okay… [edited by admin for mundane privacy reasons 🙂 ] I know what you mean. T___T
liebster nomination? https://foolsmyoozings.wordpress.com/2015/04/02/liebster-is-a-weird-word/
Thank you so much and congratulations for being nominated yourself! Your questions are rather interesting and I do look forward to answering them.
Hiya, I nominated you for a Liebster award 🙂
https://usagitoneko.wordpress.com/2015/04/03/liebster-award/
Aww … thank you so much! I didn’t know you have been reading my blog.
I do check your posts, just that I haven’t been commenting (my bad!). I like that your blog’s got such a different and intellectual vibe to it 🙂

Greetings! A liebster award nomination for you!
Oh, wow … thank you so much!! You’re so generous to nominate 17 blogs! I like the visuals in The Girl Who Sees Smells too.
You’re very welcome! With the previous award it said 5 nominations and i said let’s stick with it and i felt restrained and i didn’t feel well at some point. Now from 11 i made it 17 XD Yup, this drama started pretty well out of the blue!
Hei, i’ve nominated you for this award
https://dramachaser.wordpress.com/2015/04/22/liebster-award/#more-1181
Hi lemonmirae, thank you so ~ much!! And congratulations on getting nominated! ❤

Thank you for the patience. #^.^#
When the chair says it’s time for you to get into the sunshine award, here’s one for you!
https://dramajjang.wordpress.com/2015/04/27/sunshine-award-2015/
The moonstruck chair also squeals with delight at the news of another award going to Kwon Sang Seung-nim and does the chincha dance with him on the spot!
You’re generous with your nominations again. 😀 At the rate I’m handling these awards, you may only see my full response in 2016 so I’ll make a quick note about your first question:
The first blogger that comes to my mind is actually you! #^.^#
“Kwon Sang Seung-nim” LOL XD Yey, chincha dance!!! 😀
Yup, if i wasn’t “generous” it would be tormenting to choose and i wouldn’t enjoy it as much as i do! Take your time, patience is a virtue (but when it comes to dramas it’s a virtue and a curse at the same time), 2016 will be a great year from the A-Philosopher’s Throne at that time when the response appears! Yey, gomawoyo! ^-^ *teleports for chincha dance meeting* [bzzt – instant sound of teleportation]
Another thank you to Lady Nyo
, Iva Sallay
and abyssbrain
